Plastics News Redesign

Plastics News is a publication that covers (as the name implies) the plastics industry, and it has been in print for over 25 years.

In my position as Art Director, I spearheaded a redesign of the publication, including the logo, editorial pages and business cards. I developed brand guidelines for both the editorial and marketing departments.

gloProfessional Redesign

In my role as Graphic Designer at the Denver-based skincare and cosmetics company gloProfessional, I spearheaded a complete brand redesign, including establishing timelines, communicating with numerous vendors and coordinating staff and resources in multiple departments. I redesigned both skincare and cosmetic lines, including product packaging, brochures, catalogs and other marketing collateral. I photographed and re-touched all product photography.

User Experience Project: Yale School of Art

Part of my studies at Wayne State University, in the School of Library and Information Science graduate program, includes information architecture and user experience. One of our class projects included taking a website selected by the professor (in this case, Yale School of Art), and creating a site map, wire frames, and mock-ups for both desktop and mobile devices.

Women Breaking the Mold

Plastics News established a network for women in the plastics industry, and needed branding to advertise the group, as well as the event held in its name. I created a logo, print advertisements and web banners.

LSR World

LSR World is a supplemental magazine to Plastics News, covering the liquid silicone rubber market.

In addition to designing the quarterly magazine, I also established brand guidelines, toned photos, and created dynamic spreads for the magazine.

Information Graphics

Simplifying complex data for readers and clients is one of the highlights of my job, and something that excites me. Below are some examples of raw data or complex ideas that have been turned into simplified, and easy-to-understand graphics.

Sola fitness website redesign

Sola Fitness was a client of Quell Communications, a marketing and public relations firm I worked with in Troy, Mich. As part of their creative team, we pitched concepts to Sola. When Sola selected a concept, I made mock-ups for the website in a desktop and mobile format, and coordinated with our developer to take the ideas from concept to reality.
